Review summary
Summarized by AI from 1,000+ reviews
A peaceful historic retreat for nature-loving travelers.
This hotel offers a tranquil escape for those seeking a scenic getaway within the heart of the New Forest. Its prime location in the village of Burley is complemented by a refreshing outdoor swimming pool that serves as a seasonal focal point. Guests often praise the culinary quality of the signature tasting menu, and those traveling with pets should request the specialized welcome packs to enhance their stay. While the property charms with its historic character, the inconsistent service and maintenance standards remain notable areas for improvement.
Some guests mentioned: unreliable Wi-Fi, thin walls, dated decor.
