Positive Reviews

Fantastic views form the rooms

This is a high rise hotel, so it comes as no surprise that guests raved about the views to be had from their room. They were said to be spectacular and include the waters of the Gulf, the city lights, or frequently both.

Convenient metro station nearby

Considering this is a luxury hotel, a remarkable number of guests commented on the metro station that was right across the street. They found the metro a very convenient way to see much of the city, with many reporting they used it to easily get to the Dubai Mall for a bit of shopping.

Nice pool area

Guests were impressed with the pool. Not necessarily for swimming, but for the environment it and the surrounding gardens created. It was a favourite place to relax and take in the atmosphere.

Negative Reviews

Some concerns standards are slipping

Recent guests who had stayed at the hotel a few times before noted that service standards had slipped somewhat. While service was not usually judged to be bad, guests said that they had declined and threatened the luxury rating of the hotel.

Windows a bit dirty

Guests complained that they couldn’t really take good pictures of the fantastic views, since the outside of the windows were too dirty. Some speculated that this was an unavoidable consequence of dust from the desert, but many felt the hotel should remedy the situation with more frequent cleaning.

Unhappiness at breakfast time

Breakfast was not typically included in most guests’ room rate. Those who opted to pay and enjoy it at the hotel reported that they felt the price was astronomical and the actual breakfast by comparison very much earthbound
